Scope Drifts
During execution of Backup Power, unforeseen site conditions were discovered that require additional engineering and remediation work not covered in the original scope.
Owner has requested additional Site & Civil scope beyond the original SOW. This was discussed during a recent progress meeting and would require a change order.
Architect specified upgraded materials for Building Shell that differ from the original SOW spec. This change increases material costs but was presented as a preference, not a requirement.
Recent building code update requires redesign of Raised Floor & Cabling. The new requirements were published after the original SOW was finalized.
Team proposed a value engineering option to reduce Cooling Systems costs by substituting equivalent materials and simplifying the installation approach.
Client requested that the Electrical – Utility & Switchgear phase be completed 2 weeks ahead of the original schedule. This would require overtime labor and expedited material deliveries.
